Ever Since I stumble across this amazing artist I have been in complete awe of her ability to paint with such ease and accuracy and still keep her own personality evident in her brush strokes. Implementing Patience in Active Practice
As an artist It is often frustrating implementing patience in active practice, but I've found that it has greatly strengthened my work and form as a whole. The rush of taking that unique mind-bending idea and bringing it to life on paper or canvas is a great feeling. It is the learning curve where imagination is four steps ahead of actual ability that often makes me want to bang my head against a rock.As You look through my older bodies of work, many of which consist of college assignments, you will see how creativeness and natural ability may still shine through in a less desired project. It is through practice and yes even class assignments and exercises that you can still find your strengths as an artist, all the while learning something new and bold to add to your repertoire.
Design Diversity, a simple class assignment; a self portrait collage made up of black, white, and grey construction paper. Naturally because of my creative nature and desire to go to the next step I broke instruction and made it out of magazine articles. I thought it would make for a more interesting and personable work. More importantly I wanted to be set apart from the rest of the student body.
